DESCRIPTION

The Project comprised Basic Engineering of Marine Facilities adjacent to the Tank Farm within the Refinery of the Pacific expansion project; it covered the following design activities:

Sulfur Shipping Pier, featuring sulfur loading facilities to 10,000 through 58,000 DWT (20,000 DWT on average) ships and saltwater intake facility for the refinery processes. The pier is made up of the following structures:

Access trestle

Sulfur loading platform

Saltwater intake platform

Service platform and mooring dolphin

Three (3) Single Point Mooring Buoys (SPMs) connected to subsea pipelines to handle the following products:

Crude oil through a 42-in pipeline from the refinery (1st SPM)

Diesel through a 24-in export pipeline, and a 10-in benzene pipeline (2nd SPM)

Gasoline, jet fuel and xylene

Subsea pipelines: design and routing of 12 pipelines (6 for loading and 6 for return) from the shoreline to PLEMs.
