The detail engineering for the New Jetty of El Palito Refinery included
the design of all the civil, electromechanical and instrumentation works.
The following products are handled: Crude Oil, MDO, Jet Fuel, Kerosene,
Lubricants, Benzene, Methanol, Bunker C, VGO, Fuel Oil, leaded and unleaded
Gasoline, Naphtha, Isobutane and Lead Tetraetilium.
Civil
works included:
- A bridge of 1267 m long and 20,60 m wide
- 2 platforms of 39 m x 18 m
- 4 berthing dolphins with fenders to absorb 332 t-m
- 8 mooring dolphins with 120 t capacity quick release hooks
- Auxiliary platform for fire fighting equipments
Mechanical works included:
- 8 loading arms in each platform : 1x8”, 1x10”, 6x12”
- Pipes, valves and accessories for products loading and unloading.
The two platforms are interconnected.
- Fire detection and fire fighting systems, compressed air, Nitrogen
and ballast reception, hydraulic ladders to access ships.
Instrumentation works included:
- Field instrumentation, Supervision and Control System, Distributed
Control System I/A, Information Transmission System (voice and data)
by optic fiber from the jetty to the mainland.
Electricity works included:
- Electric supply, distribution and protection for the jetty and the
mainland
- Design of a new substation of 3.750 KVA
