for Marine Life in the Archipelago Los Monjes

M.A.R.N.R., 1998

A multi-pourpose center was designed at the Los Monjes Achipelago, north west Venezuelan caribbean sea:
  • A fishing port for small size boats
  • A Research Center for La Salle Foundation

Due to the lack of natural local resources, basic services was specified: desalinization plant for fresh water supply, fuel storage tanks for power plant and fishing boats, power plant, distribution networks for power, water and fuel.

The Investigations Center for "La Salle" Foundation includes 3 laboratories, offices, a reference museum, a hatchery, lodging for 16 researchers and visitors, warehouses, and other facilities.

The fishing port includes a warf, fuel and fresh water tanks, cold storage and a workshop for boats repair and maintenance.

The fishing area and the research area are connected by a paved road.
